Offices and Websites share some things in common

Your Real Estate office and your website share a lot in common; they are your place of business – they help you put you best foot forward and offer service. Real Estate is about Service and we must use our places of business not only as a source of professionalism but also to educate our customers.

let’s look at a couple of comparisons:

1. Location: Highly visible offices attract more customers and act as a sort of billboard for your Brokerage. Highly Searchable Websites attract more customers because they are well positioned and are easily found. Some argue that websites are taking over offices – think Amazon.

2. The furnishings and layout of your office are what makes it functional for your agents and customers. When looking at your website try to put that same type of attention; make sure your website is well laid out as well as offer 1-click Results.

3. The length you spend in one location deepens your relationships in your community; do the same with your website – stop jumping from domain to domain; let one garner strength and visibility.

4. One final idea about Domain Names – you must own your domain; if your website vendor or Web Designer own it they have an ulterior motive – Go ahead ask them why they own yours. (PS: I promise their answer will not be satisfying – they don’t even want you to know that they own it.)
