Refine your Google Searches towards Discussions

Searching on Google is now part of many day to day activities of Real Estate Agents and Consumers – but can you use more Refined Searches to figure out what your Real Estate Competition is doing? Yes you can! Discussions can reveal more about the inner working, failures, and successes of your competition.

If you perform a Search in Google – look to the left; you will notice an arrow pointing down with the text “More” next to it; when you click on it you will notice categories of Searches, one of which is Discussions:

These type of focused “Discussions” Searches can reveal what others are saying about your Brand; as well as reveal discussions within competitive Brands. This can become a huge source of information for the Good, Bad, and Ugly that belies your competitors products, solutions, and even Staff.

In the Real Estate Business all you need is to be a little bit better that the average brokerage in order to succeed – so I am not going to tell you who to research (sounds better than spy on) but they do say keep your friends close and your Competitors Closer. So look up your own Brand; your Competitors; your Agents; your potential Recruits; your primary Keywords; and don’t forget to look up yourself… you will be quite enlightened.
